Share to Memstone from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and More
One of Memstone’s goals is to make logging feel effortless. The less friction there is, the more likely you are to capture moments as they happen.
That’s why the latest update adds a Share Extension.
Log from the apps you already use
You can now share content directly to Memstone from many apps:
- Apple Music
- Spotify
- YouTube
- Safari
- Most other apps that support sharing links
Instead of switching apps, copying titles, or trying to remember to log something later, simply tap Share and choose Memstone.
For example, if you’re listening to an album in Apple Music, you can share it directly to Memstone and create an entry in just a few seconds.

Automatic details
When you share content, Memstone can automatically extract useful information and fill in fields for you.
For an Apple Music album, that might include:
- Album name
- Artist
- Genre
- The album artwork
- Link back to the album
You can review the information before saving, add any additional notes you want, and then create the entry.

Currently Memstone supports Apple Music, Spotify (more limited information than Apple Music), YouTube and Safari links.
A richer timeline
Once saved, the entry becomes part of your timeline alongside everything else you’ve recorded.
Months or years later, you’ll be able to see exactly when you listened to that album, browse your history, and answer questions like:
- When did I first discover this artist?
- What was I listening to last summer?
- When was the last time I played this album?

Configure it your way
Different people use Memstone differently.
Some people may want shared music links to be logged as “Listened to Album”. Others may prefer “Discovered Music” or a completely custom activity type.
The new sharing settings let you choose how supported links are handled. You can specify which category and activity type should be used when Memstone recognizes content from services such as Apple Music.

Capture more with less effort
The Share Extension is designed around the same idea as the Apple Watch app and widgets: reducing the effort needed to record meaningful moments.
Whether you’re discovering new music, watching videos, reading articles, or exploring the web, Memstone can now help you capture those experiences without interrupting what you’re doing.
Update to the latest version of Memstone and give it a try the next time you find something worth remembering.
